Aether Revolt Spoilers! Tezzeret, the Conspirator and Quicksmith Spy

We have the new Tezzeret!

+1: Create a colorless artifact token named Etherium which has tap, sacrifice Etherium token: add one mana of any color into your mana pool.

-2: Target creature gets +X/-X until end of turn which X is the number of artifacts you control.

-7: You get an emblem with “At the beginning of your combat phase, target artifact you control becomes a 5/5 artifact creature.”

It’s definitely good in any Commander deck that is focused around creating artifacts, but Standard playability is up in the air. With Clues, other artifact tokens, and cheap artifacts, I could see an Improvise-based control shell emerge if a powerful Improvise card gets printed. If so, it seems sweet, being able to come down to shoot down two creatures and then ramp you into more sweet plays.

Quicksmith Spy seems good in Commander. It has a powerful effect as a one sided Howling Mine, however, it is too fragile for Standard.
