Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis Commander Spotlight!

Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis is a good commander for a grouphug sort of deck, but I just want to highlight a few cards that turn it into a sort of cutthroat deck instead. These are simply the highlights of the commander, the rest of the deck can be filled out with Propaganda type cards and cards that allow everyone to draw cards.

Burgeoning is amazing when coupled with tons of card draw, which this deck will have, because if opponents choose to play lands at the end of your turn, you get to play lands too in addition to the lands you get to play when they make a land drop. Dirtcowl Wurm is a little less overwhelming, but is still useful in dissuading opponents from choosing the play lands at the end of your turn.

Do you still want to play lands? Well, now I get to play a ton of lands too! These cards are just so amazing. If your opponent gets one land drop ahead, you just get to ramp a bunch.

So they’ll just draw cards then, right? Nope. Mind’s Eye just draws you so many cards when coupled with Burgeoning unless they want you to play a ton of lands. Psychic Possession is slightly less powerful, but still dissuades one opponent from choosing to draw cards. Consecrated Sphinx is just amazing, drawing you so many cards if they choose to draw cards at the end of your turn, not even counting the cards you draw when they draw off of their draw step.

Now that we’ve turned any advantage that Kynaios and Tiro give into a disadvantage, I hope you can now visualize how cutthroat this deck can be if it wants. It’s just too bad we don’t get Nesukar.
