Aetherstorm Roc is another card involving energy counters. This creature gives you one when it or another creature enters the battlefield. When it attacks, you can pay two energy counters to put a counter on it and tap down an opposing blocker. It seems like a fairly good creature in any midrange strategy that will pop up in Standard. Fleetwheel Cruiser comes in and hits for five damage. After that, it’s a little costly to crew it up, but could sometimes be worth it. It’s not the best card. A lot of times attacking with two creatures will deal more than five damage.
Cultivator of Blades is a card that encourages you to put +1/+1 counters on it instead of getting tokens, because it boosts your attacking team according to its power. It’s still not that good, because it dies easily and costs five mana. Some EDH decks may play it if they have ways to manipulate its power.
