3/17 SOI Spoilers! : Sorin, Grim Nemesis! Behold the Beyond! Silverfur Partisan! Ormendahl, Profane Prince!

sorin,grimnemesis

Hello everyone! Sorin, Grim Nemesis is out! It’s great! It’s +1 draws you a card, a dishes out damage while doing it. It’s -X drains for X. It’s -9 should usually win the game. I need to pick up one for my Ayli deck. I think it’ll see Standard play as a Control finisher.

Behold the Beyond is a card that may be a EDH staple because it’s just so good. On turn 7, you probably won’t be holding many cards, so it’s 7 mana to tutor for three cards. Silverfur Partisan seems like a card that will push an aggressive RG Werewolf deck. What it does is if they try to kill a Werewolf of yours, you just get another one. Even if they remove Silverfur Partisan first, you still get a 2/2 wolf, so you just 2 for 1ed them.

Westvale Abbey

Land

T: Add C to your mana pool.

5, T, Pay 1 life: Put a 1/1 white and black Human Cleric creature token onto the battlefield.

5, T, Sacrifice five creatures: Transform Westvale Abbey, then untap it.

This is a nice land, it not only produces colorless, it can transform late game into Ormendahl, Profane Prince.

Ormendahl, Profane Prince

Legendary Creature – Demon

Flying, lifelink, indestructible, haste

9/7

I’m not sure I would play this, because if you only sacrifice creatures from the Abbey to flip it, it costs 30 mana for Ormendahl. I don’t like it.

drownyardtemple

Drownyard Temple seems like a card for the UB self-mill decks. It gives you an extra land, which is quite powerful.

Hope you enjoyed! Comment your opinions below!
