Athreos, God of Passage is one of the ten Gods from the Theros block. My Athreos deck involves a lot of sacrificing and recurring your creatures with Athreos or having them pay the price.
This deck needs sac outlets to get the death going, so I included quite a number of sac outlets. Nantuko Husk, Blood Bairn, and Bloodthrone Vampire are all creatures that are free sac outlets that get +2/+2 whenever you sacrifice a creature to them. Ashnod’s Altar is a two mana artifact that allows you to sac a creature to it for two colorless mana. This mana comes into handy when we’re casting a game-ending Exsanguinate or Debt to the Deathless.
Attrition is a great three mana sac outlet that allows you to pay one black and sacrifice a creature for a murder. That’s really great in this deck, because it allows you to murder enemy commanders and threats by sacrificing some your own smaller creatures.
Thanks for viewing this first part of the review for my Athreos EDH deck!
