Magic Slang of The Week #1: What does Answer mean?

What is Magic Slang of the Week? This series is meant to help teach players new and old alike Magic the Gathering slang, that is commonly used in tournaments and gatherings. I hope you enjoy. Please leave suggestions in the comments.

Definition: An answer is basically the opposite of a threat. For example, Mizzium Mortars is an “answer” to several small creatures. Doom Blade is an “answer” to a nonblack creature.
